Percival has seen some things. He has opinions about them. And judging by those eyes, he's probably going to tell you all about it.

Painted in loose, expressive strokes of layered blues, Percival is full of movement, texture and personality. His wildly colorful eyes—touched with gold, rust and green—are the unexpected focal point that bring this wonderfully quirky owl to life.

I intentionally kept the brushwork free and imperfect, allowing the texture of the watercolor paper, overlapping marks and variations in pigment to become part of the piece. The result is an original that feels playful, spontaneous and completely one-of-a-kind.
